Pizza House Simulator Patch 1.005
Official 20 August 2026 notes: easier basil pots, fairer unlocks, and joiners who finally see the shelves.
Patch v1.005 is a real Steam news post dated 20 August 2026, one day after the 19 August Windows launch. Broken Lyre’s note called it quality-of-life, progression balance, multiplayer fixes, and a list of known issues they are still working. This page is a teaching summary of that post. It is not a leak. Confirm wording on Steam if a later hotfix supersedes it. The parent index is the Updates Hub. Launch week context stays on launch notes.
Improvements you will feel with your hands
Picking up and placing basil pots was clumsy. Interaction surfaces were enlarged so the herb station stops eating clicks during a ticket. If you still fight the collider, it is worth verifying files before you blame the layout.
Twitch integration can listen to multiple channels at once. Enter names separated by commas. That is a host power and a host risk. Two chats joining the same kitchen is two extra bodies, not twice the fun, until you have capped redeems. The practical rules still live on Twitch and Kick and Co-op Multiplayer.
Balance and progression—read this before you rage at cosmetics
The unlock order of Kitchen Counter and Wall Covering materials changed. Wood is available at earlier levels. Marble and metal moved later. If a surface you already owned suddenly looks different, that is the patch, not a corrupted save. Cosmetic unlocks were redistributed across 35 levels so every level has something new instead of long droughts. Station upgrades were spread more evenly through the same climb. The oven’s Pizza Ready bell upgrade moved to an earlier level, which is the kind of quality-of-life that belongs in kitchen upgrades as a priority bump, not as a decoration flex.
If you were saving cash for marble on week one, the patch is telling you to stop. Wood first. Bell earlier. Throughput from Kitchen Automation still beats a luxury wall.
Fixes that were eating shifts
- Some sauce stations rendered bright white while running.
- Character customization’s None option was missing its preview image.
- The restaurant sign logo failed to appear; it should display again.
- The in-game clock could show illegal times such as 24:15. Minutes after midnight now wrap to the start of the day.
- Looking at a pizza now shows Slice Pizza next to Pick Up Pizza in the bottom-right prompt list.
- Staff hiring quests could count a single hire twice (a “Hire 1 Staff Member” objective jumping two steps). Each hire counts once. Pair this with staff and hiring.
Multiplayer-only pain
Players joining an existing session could see items inside filled shelves and stands stacked in the center instead of in their slots. Those items should now sit correctly. The restaurant profile Motto could show the wrong text for clients on join; that desync was called out and fixed. If a friend still sees a chaos motto while you are running hospitality, compare versions and remake the lobby before you rewrite playstyles.
Known issues the studio already admitted
These were listed as in-progress, not as player error:
- A few-second freeze when claiming a quest reward (UI-side, fix in progress).
- Transparent outdoor ground on some machines, revealing sea and rocks under the map. Movement still works. Reports exist on Windows and on Steam Deck / Linux.
- Unusually slow customer flow for some owners; traffic behaving differently across systems, under investigation.
If your dining room looks like a ghost town, read this list before you take a loan to “fix footfall.” That is troubleshooting plus patience, not loans and stocks. If the ground is a hole, it is a render bug, not a disaster from How to Survive Disasters.
How to play after 1.005
Keep using the in-game feedback form. The developers said it is the fastest channel because it attaches version and date. Verify files if basil, logos, or clocks still misbehave. Then cook: Getting Started, How to Make Pizza, first-shift checklist. Hardware doubts: system requirements. Store and studio: Links Hub. Review context, including the launch-week Steam score: Review Hub.
This wiki will not invent a 1.006 until Steam does. When the next numbered post lands, it gets a sibling page or a dated subsection here. Until then, treat 1.005 as the first post-launch verb change: pots, walls, bells, shelves, mottos, and a Twitch comma.

Maybe, but both were listed as known issues under investigation, including Deck/Linux reports for the ground. Update, verify files, then wait for a follow-up note.
